This course, designed for 4th Year Graduate Students at Omdurman Ahlia University, Department of Histopathology, is offered as part of Semester 7 under the curriculum of Cytology and Cytogenetics and is delivered via the OAU Platform Online. It provides an in-depth exploration of gynecological cytology, including diagnostic techniques, evaluation of cellular abnormalities, and hormonal assessment, alongside an introduction to cytogenetics with a focus on chromosomal aberrations and genetic disorders. The course emphasizes practical skill development in specimen collection, slide preparation, and cytological reporting using The Bethesda System (TBS). Through case-based learning and integration of genetic principles, students will be prepared for clinical and diagnostic challenges in histopathology and cytogenetics.
